Robert L. Black, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, December 15, 2018 peacefully at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
He was born on April 13, 1933 in Dayton to Edgar E. and Margaret M. (Dilg) Black. He married his high school sweetheart, Georgia Phillips on December 13, 1951 in Vienna, IL and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include two daughters; Deborah S. (Jerry) Zagroba of Tallahassee, FL; Theresa L. Black of Tiffin; three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Douglas S. Sachs and a half brother, Thurman Black.
Robert graduated from Lincoln High School in Vincennes, IN and started working as an Engineer at National Machinery in 1952, retiring after 35 years. He was a member of the National Machinery Quarter Century Club and enjoyed square dancing, yard work, and gardening.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home or the Seneca County Humane Society.
