Robert F. Sours, 75, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 24, 2017 at his home.

He was born on September 24, 1942, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Art and Ethel (Wessner) Sours and was raised by John Luman.  On June 5, 1964, he married Dorothy Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Tiffin; son, Robert Wayne (Laura Sims) Sours of Tiffin; daughter, Joleen Annette “Jody” Legron of Tiffin; siblings, Ronald (Donna) Sours, Geradine Smith and Gene Sours, Sr., all of Tiffin, Richard Sours of McClure and Carolyn Gillant of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Michael (Katelyn) Sours, John Steele, Brittany Sours, Tiffany Legron, Braydon Jordan, Meghan Benner and Shelbie Sims; and great grandchildren, Madden and Kayden.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Linda Ann Sours; brothers, Henry Hines and Harold Hines; and sisters, Joyce Corzine, Nancy Wilson and William Sours.

Robert served in the United States Navy and retired from American Standard after 29 years.  He was a former member of Tiffin Moose #846, Tiffin Eagles #402, DAV and the Tiffin CB Club and enjoyed bowling in leagues, was a Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan and a Play Station bowling tournament champion.  Robert also enjoyed going to Frisch’s and walking around Wal-Mart and hugging all the girls.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Bob Flint officiating.  There will be a luncheon to follow at The Church of the Nazarene.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the Service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
