Roxana Shaull Obituary

Roxana Norinne (Beitel) Shaull, 89, of Avondale Senior Community, Dublin and formerly a 70-year resident of Tiffin, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at First Community Village Health Care Center, Columbus after a brief hospitalization.

She was born on July 4, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Harry R. and Bernice N. (Crose) Beitel.  On February 27, 1954, at St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Neil M. Shaull.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas (Judy) Shaull of Franktown, CO, Ronald (Joan) Shaull of Columbus and James Shaull of Delaware; daughter, Jane (Mike) Fenneman of Columbus; three grandchildren, Lynn (Mike Bilder) Shaull of Lansdale, PA, Aaron Shaull of Nashville, TN and Cindy (Brian) Connors of Parker, CO; great grandchildren, Ellie Connors and Clara Bilder; brothers, Robert (Ann) Beitel of Lake Wylie, SC and Edward (Val) Beitel of Sterling Heights, MI; sister-in-law, Carmelita (Tim) Beitel of Tumacacori, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil Shaull; son, Robert Shaull; brother, Tim Beitel; and sister, Lois (Beitel, Orwig) Burgh.

A 1948 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and student at Tiffin University, she worked as a service representative for Ohio Bell Telephone Company and as a clerk and bookkeeper at several local businesses, including, Sears, Sayger Enterprises, Boroff Publication Services and Sounds Systems, Inc..  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #189, Tiffin, St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and Creighton Avenue Christian Church in Fort Wayne. Roxana greatly enjoyed her family and friends, crafts, needlework, puzzles, flowers, 24 winters in Florida and her many travels throughout the United States. 

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home &  Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 followed by a brief celebration of Roxana’s life at 1:00 P.M.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Fund at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (give online at giveto.osu.edu, Fund #311919) or to the Tiffin Greenlawn Cemetery Association, Storm Damage Restoration Fund, PO Box 222, Tiffin.
