Sally Harvan, 98, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2019 at St. Francis Home.
She was born on May 23, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Andrew and Lottie (Aranosky) Jucha. On September 1, 1947, she married George A. Harvan.
Beloved wife for 57 years of the late, George A. Harvan; dearest mother of Mary Jo (Gary) Koenig and Gayle (Bob) Fiorenza; adoring grandmother of Gary Jr. (Christine) Koenig, Adam Koenig, Anne (Eric) Stoltz and Chas Fiorenza; great grandmother of Corinne, Tripp and Drew Koenig and Jackson and Quinn Stoltz; loving aunt and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Cecelia Pitrone and Henrietta Vasil.
Many knew Sally from her retail positions at Sears, LaSalle’s, Bobbi Gee and Dots. She had a passion for helping others and volunteered at St. Francis Home, the Ritz Theatre and St. Mary’s Church. Sally was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, their Altar Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella, St. Francis Auxiliary and the Tiffin Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, music, reading, dancing, walking and she was known for decorating her walking cane for the holidays. Sally loved her family and her children and grandchildren were her life.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 26, 2019 at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at St. Francis Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Sally to St. Francis Home Activities Fund or to St. Francis Home Chapel Fund.
