Shirley L. Baker, 86, of Lindsey, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday evening, October 11, 2017 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

She was born on May 26, 1931, in Fremont, Ohio to Mervin and Lucille (Overmeyer) Bowersox.   On March 28, 1953, she married Paul L. Baker and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2008.

Survivors include her sons, Chris (Debbi) Baker of Green Springs and Jeff (Sally) Baker of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; daughter, Pam (Jon) Everett of Galena; brother, Dennis (Elaine) Bowersox of Sycamore; sister, Patsy (William) Copley of Lindsey; and six  grandchildren, Todd (Sonia) Baker, Toni (Josh Horowitz) Baker, Abby (Felix) Baker Schmieder, Nicole (Dave) Glover, Kyle Baker and Kelsey (Jeff) Snyder; three great grandchildren, Eden, Atley and Caleb; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother, Marvin Bowersox.

Shirley graduated from Fremont Ross High School, was a homemaker and a hard-working dairy farmer’s wife.  She volunteered at the Board of Elections and was a member of the Clinton Township Fire Auxiliary.  She enjoyed canning, gardening, loved playing cards and games, was a Buckeye fan and was an avid baker, entering pies and winning ribbons at the Seneca County Fair.  Shirley cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their various events.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Henry Seibert officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice or Circle of Friends Volunteers Offering Their Gift of Song.
