Stanley W. Weber, 94, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, September 30, 2018 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
He was born May 10, 1924, in Tiffin to Valentine and Josephine (Kazarowski) Weber. On December 28, 1943, he married Anna Louise Decker and she preceded him in death in 2015.
Survivors include a son, Thomas A. Weber of Connecticut; five grandchildren, Thomas, Lisa, Stefan, Alice and Andrea; and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Anna of 72 years; brothers, Andrew, Joseph, Phillip and John; and sisters, Veronica Weber, Frances Galba and Joann Polter.
Stanley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and attended Tiffin Calvert High School. He served in the United States Navy, during World War II, from April 25, 1944 to January 25, 1946. He worked as a machinist at National Machinery, retiring in 1985 and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. Stanley was a Notre Dame Football fan, attending over 426 games since 1941 and was a Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed bowling, playing cards and volunteering for SCAT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial with Military honors conducted by the United Veterans Council will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit and share stories on Saturday from 8:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to S.T.E.M. Weber Scholarship Fund at Calvert Catholic Schools or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
