Stephen D. Allbaugh

Stephen D. “Steve” Allbaugh, 72, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born on October 14, 1947, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Darl and Margaret “June” (Gittinger) Allbaugh.    

Survivors include his daughters, Shannon (Brian Tippin) Roop and Krystal (Nathan) Price, both of Tiffin; sisters, Darlene (Randy Bryant) Yates of Republic and Connie Murphy of Tiffin; and four grandchildren, Alec Bower, Salah Price, Collin Roop and Dylan Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Tammy Dewald.

Steve graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School, attended OSU and sold insurance for several insurance companies.  Steve lived a full life.  He served in the United States Navy and experienced many things during that time.  He saw many places around the World and spent most of his life dedicating his time to his children, grandchildren and the youth of this community. 

Steve’s first love was baseball.  He spent more than 30 years volunteering his time coaching and being commissioner of Little League Baseball.  He coached all three of his grandsons, winning a championship with the youngest two.  Anything his children or grandchildren needed he would do at the drop of a hat and would make sacrifices just to make sure they were taken care of.  Steve loved all animals and had a few favorites; Elvis was a Cocker Spaniel that came to all the ballgames and even had his own uniform.  Currently, he was best friends with his grand dogs, Moose and Cooper.   

His funeral service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Charlene Thomas officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans Council at the funeral home at 7:30 P.M. 

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the Service on Friday at the Funeral Home.

A dedication Service for the public will be in the Spring of 2020.
