Thomas Jerome Krupp, 83, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 12, 2018, at Saint Francis Home, Tiffin.

He was born March 25, 1934, in Bloomville, to Cornelius and Agnes (Weithman) Krupp.

Thomas graduated from Calvert High School in 1953, and went on to join the Marine Corps and served for four years. Tom retired from Ohio Cities Water Company (Aqua) after working for 35 years in the distribution department and the water quality lab. In April of 1957, Tom married Janice Marie Bishop at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, New Washington, and they celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2017. Tom was a member of Knights of Columbus.

Tom loved playing euchre with family and friends and always was willing to help anyone with a repair or project no matter the size. Tom seemed to know most everyone in his hometown of Tiffin greeting many by their first names for many, many years.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Janice; five sons, Michael (Mary) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jeffrey (Karen) of Upper Arlington, Matthew of Tiffin, Bryan (Patty) of Lewis Center, and Eric (Amy) of Toledo; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Justine, Alex, Abbey, Jamie, Andrew, Ethan, Sydney, Owen, Anthony and Bella; 3 great-grandchildren, Tyler Madisen, and Jackson VanderZwaag, and 6 siblings, Mary Nucifera, Lina (Sis) Weimerskirch, Cornelius Jr. (Bud) Krupp, June Swope, Ronald Krupp and David Krupp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Paul Krupp; and two sisters, Betty Decker and Dorothy Link.

A Mass of christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military honors by United Veterans Council.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. A wake service will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Condolences may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.hgmackfuneralhome.com.

Thanks to Dr. Mark Akers and his staff, the staff at St. Francis Home and Comfort Keepers for the professional and compassionate medical and personal care they provided.
