Yvonne “Bonnie” G. Steinmetz, 91, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, March 11, 2019 at her home.
She was born on March 7, 1928 in Seneca County, Ohio to Jacob A. and Blanche (Burger) Bollinger. On April 30, 1949, she married Vincent C. Steinmetz in St. Joseph Catholic Church and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her four sons, James M. Steinmetz of Carey, Thomas L. Steinmetz of Kansas, Stephen L. Steinmetz of Tiffin and Larry F. Steinmetz of Tiffin; daughter, Mary Ellen (Bill) Snyder of Tiffin; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul R. Steinmetz; three sisters, Joyce Stetler, Madelyn Breidenbach and Maxine Zoeller and a great grandson.
Bonnie graduated in 1946 from Attica High School, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She worked 17 ½ years as a finisher at Bud Company in Carey, Ohio, retiring in 1994. Bonnie helped on the family farm, enjoyed being at home and spending time with her family.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 15, 2019 at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
