Allan J. Ranker, 65, of Maumee, passed early Saturday morning, October 3, 2020 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo after a brief illness of Pancreatic Cancer.

He was born on October 24, 1954, in Tiffin, Ohio to Merlyn J. and Barbara J. (Kuhn) Ranker.

Survivors include his brother, Daniel Ranker of Columbus; sisters, Susan (Rick) Lease of Sycamore; Beverly (Jim) Shaffer of Tiffin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew.

Al was a graduate of Tiffin Calvert, Class of 1973 and earned his bachelor's degree from Lake Superior State College.  He started his career in wholesale at Lumberman's, later Schultz Snyder and Steel Co. in Michigan.  He enjoyed selling at flea markets and was an Eagle Scout with St. Joseph Troop 444.

His Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
