Alma Ann Kauffman, 86, of Tiffin, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

She was born on May 9, 1925, in Seneca County, Ohio, to Ervin and Marie (Wall) Unser. On August 10, 1946, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, she married Joseph Kauffmann. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2007.

Survivors include her son, David (Terri) Kauffmann of New Riegel, Ohio; brother, Brother Timothy "Jim" Unser, of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughter, Angie (Chris) Cahill of Oro Valley, Arizona and two great granddaughters, Adriana and Katie Cahill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Alice Marinis; infant brother, Robert Unser; and grandson, Gregory Kauffmann, who passed away on August 17, 1971.

Alma graduated in 1943 from Hopewell Loudon High School. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. For years she worked and made candy at Marinis Candy Store in downtown Tiffin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass.

A visitation was held for the family.
