Andre R. Tiell, 47, of Bascom, passed away Saturday morning, April 23, 2011 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On December 12, 1963 in Tiffin, he was born to Anthony W. and Anna Mae (Rose) Tiell.

Survivors include his father, Anthony Tiell of Bascom; favorite sisters, Angela Tiell of Bascom and Anita Tiell of Tiffin; brother, Anthony Tiell of Bascom; many cousins, and "nephew", Nick of New Riegel.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Tiell in 1998.

Andre was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a 1982 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School. He worked at Bascom Elevator and Supply Association in Bascom for many years as a truck driver. Andre was a member of the Seneca County Coonhunters Lodge, Fostoria Sportsman Club, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters, Pleasant Grove Grange, Tiffin Eagles Aerie 402, involved in Hopewell Loudon Young Farmers and volunteered for the Bascom Fire Department. He enjoyed wine making, traveling, trap shooting, fishing, dart ball, BBQ's and Garden Tractor Pulling. Andre loved his family dearly and was a friend to all.

There will be a private visitation for friends and family.

A mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bascom with Rev. Art Niewiadomski officiating and Rev. Florian Tiell as con celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to FACT, Community Hospice Care, and the Bascom Right to Life.
