Anita Hutcheson, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday evening, November 8, 2012 at her home.


She was born on April 23, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York, to Karl and Dolores (Vale) Hintze. On April 5, 1941, in Los Angeles, CA, she married Robert L. Hutcheson and he preceded her in death in 2002.


Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Daniel) Coffman, of Tiffin; sister, Ines' (George) Kirby of Mission Viejo, CA; 4 grandchildren, Daniel (Kelly) Coffman of Mansfield, Erin (Mark) Horne of Maumee, Steve (Renee') Coffman of Springfield and Kate (Ed) Chapman of New York City; 15 great grandchildren and her best friend Ditto the dog.


Also preceding her in death were her parents.


Throughout her life she lived in New York, Germany, New Jersey, California and in 1999, moved to Tiffin to be close to her daughter. Anita loved fashion and was a life-long artist, making jewelry, painting and making collage art. She was a manicurist for years and enjoyed conversation with her customers. She enjoyed reading, telling amazing stories from her life, and golfing. Anita attended Grace Baptist Church. Always interested in learning, Anita proudly earned her GED at age 79.


There will be no visitation.


A Memorial Service will be Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry L. Boylan officiating.


Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church or the Humane Society.
