Obituary

Anna Marie Breidenbach, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, August 17, 2013 at Elmwood at the Shawhan.

She was born on March 12, 1925, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Frank and Ida (Long) Kimmet. On April 11, 1944, she married Bernard J. Breidenbach, Sr., and he passed away in 2006.

Survivors include 4 sons, Marion (Gayle) Breidenbach of Canal Winchester, OH, James A. (Diana) Breidenbach, Bernard J. (Sharon) Breidenbach, Jr., and Kenneth (Elizabeth) Breidenbach, all of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Carol "Sister Bernarda" Breidenbach, OSU of Toledo and Marilyn (Edwin) Kokosky, Jr. of Monroe, MI; 28 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 15 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; and 4 sisters, Esther Hilborn, Loretta Kuzma, Louise McGee, and Mary Hammer.

Anna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the St. Francis Auxiliary, the New Riegel American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of the V.F.W. and the Knights of Columbus. Anna was truly a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very hard worker and loved to spend time and play games with her grandchildren. Anna and Bernie, who were happily married for 62 years, enjoyed their ventures of trips abroad; including bus trips to the Casino. Anna also enjoyed playing Uno, Rummy and gardening along with making popcorn balls for the Lion's Club throughout the years.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 8:00 P.M.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rev. Joseph Szybka, Community Hospice Care and especially to those at the Elmwood at the Shawhan for making our mother comfortable during her final days. Words of gratefulness and appreciation can not be expressed enough.
