Anthony W. Tiell, Jr. 84, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, September 9, 2014 at his home.

He was born on January 26, 1930, in Seneca County, to Anthony W. and Anna Josephine (Wagner) Tiell, Sr. On January 8, 1955, in St. Mary Catholic Church, he married Anna Mae Rose and she preceded him in death on November 20, 1998.

He is survived by his son, Anthony J. Tiell of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Anita Tiell and Angela Tiell of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Andre Tiell; and sister, Marjorie Miller.

Anthony graduated from Hopewell Loudon High School in 1948, was a dairy farmer for years and retired in 1998 from milking. He was a member of Sts. Patrick & Andrew Catholic Church and was a member of Grange Pleasant Grove 2311 where he was on dart ball leagues for both and was also a member of the National Farmers Organization. Family was very important to Anthony and he enjoyed touring the local cemeteries to learn more about his family history. At his request, his body was donated to The University of Toledo Medical Center Body Donation Program.

A Mass will be at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Sts. Patrick & Andrew Catholic Church, Bascom with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. There will be no burial at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, F.A.C.T. or a charity of the donor's choice.
