Arnold Hurt, 83, of Tiffin, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

On April 23, 1925, he was born in Bulan, KY, to the late Bryan and Maggie (Grigsby) Hurt. He met his wife of 61 years, Donna J. Schatzinger, at the Roller Rink on New Years Day. They were married June 18, 1946.

Family members include his wife, Donna, a son, Richard A. (Robin) Hurt both of Tiffin, a daughter, Cynthia L. (Ralph Marangio) Shera of Columbus, a sister, Thelma Yates of Winston Salem, NC, a grandson, Brenton Hurt, two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Ethan Hurt, two half sisters, Ruby and Vera, two half brothers, Roy and Ray Grigsby, and a deceased brother, Elmer Hurt.

Arnold was a Jr. Home Kid, retired from American Standard after working 38 years and he proudly served in the US Navy from 1943-1945. He loved to watch NASCAR, was an Ohio State fan, and loved animals, especially his 2 cats and 2 dogs.

A Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery with Military Graveside services conducted by the United Veteran's Council.
