Barbara Jean Adkins, 69, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 3, 2016 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on September 10, 1946, in Chicago, IL to Dorothy Wendtorf. On September 7, 1965, she married Emmitt E. Adkins and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2006.

Survivors include her son, David E. Adkins of Tiffin; brother, Roger (Beth) Mayo of Griffin, GA; sisters-in-law, Jean Eborg of Fremont and Diane Reid of Findlay; brother-in-law, Tommy Adkins of Fort Seneca; niece, Mary Rachael Mayo; nephew, Benjamin Anson Mayo; close friends, John and Ruth Brown of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara graduated from Wilmot High School in Wisconsin and was a member of Adams Twp. Freewill Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a collector of dolls, Coca-Cola and "I Love Lucy" memorabilia, and she enjoyed reading daily and baking, especially cookies. Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother and was spoiled by her son, David.

Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St.,, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
