Barbara Ann Burkett, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, January 9, 2017 at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born on September 28, 1949, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Paul J. and Luella E. (Kimmet) Wright. On August 9, 1969, she married Ronald L. Burkett.

Survivors include her mother, Luella Wright of Tiffin; husband, Ron of Tiffin; son, Aaron L. (Shantelle) Burkett of Tiffin; daughter, Staci L. Biller of Tiffin; sister, Dianne (Steve) Schafer of Tiffin; two brothers, Ronald (Suzette) Wright of Brighton, MI and Richard (Shirley) Wright of Tiffin; and two grandchildren, Trace Elling and Colin Burkett.

She was preceded in death by her father; son-in-law, Roger Biller; and granddaughter, Megan R. Burkett.

Barb graduated in 1967 from Tiffin Calvert High School, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired in 2010, after 26 years, as a library aide at Krout School. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, socializing, walking, traveling and camping across the country, visiting 49 states. Her favorite place to visit was Las Vegas. Barb also enjoyed being involved, along with her husband Ron, with the Columbian band and football games and attending band concerts.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
