Barbara Margaret Hillman, 86, went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, January 20, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. She was formerly a long-time resident of Tiffin, Ohio.

Barbara was born on February 18, 1934, in New Riegel, Ohio, to John and Helen (Shirrack) Hillman.  Her great, great grandparents Franz Joseph and Franziska Lenhart were some of the first settlers of New Riegel, Ohio, immigrating from Riegel, Germany in 1832.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was confirmed on May 25, 1941.  She also attended Calvert High School of Tiffin, Ohio and was known for being an avid cat lover.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her surviving family.

She is survived by a sister, Elenor K. Hillman of Tiffin; nieces, Jayne L. (Mark) Zickafoose Hollis of Springfield, Missouri, Deborah A. White of Maumee and Jeri L. Schiavone, of Hopkins, South Carolina; and a nephew, John J. (Kimberly) Hillman of Alva, Florida.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Helen; brothers, Bernard A. Hillman and John B. (Betty) Hillman of Tiffin; and sister Rose F. (Jerry) Weikert of Fostoria.

A Graveside Service will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Stan Tabor officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
