Barbara Jean Schindler, 54, of Tiffin, died Thursday afternoon, January 31, 2008, at her daughter's home. On April 17, 1953, she was born in Tiffin, to Edward J. and Pauline (Eberly) Boehler. On July 9, 1971, she married Charles 'Chuck' Schindler.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Schindler (Angie Bostic) of Tiffin, Josh (Sunshine) Schindler of Fostoria, Luke (Jennifer) Schindler of Tiffin, three daughters, Sandy (Keith) Pierce, Jenny (Dan) Keckler, Miranda Schindler, all of Tiffin, three brothers, Michael (Deb) Boehler, John Boehler, Timothy (Vicky) Boehler, all of Tiffin, six sisters, Dianne (James) White of Clinton, TN, Carol Woodward, Mary (Stephen) Roessner, Rosalie (Jerrold) O'Neil, Teresa (Herb) Faber and Charlotte Keefe, all of Tiffin, and 22 grandchildren.
Barb was a 1971 graduate of Calvert High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She worked as a cook at St. Mary Catholic School, a nurse aide at St. Francis Home and worked in the kitchen at Seneca County School of Opportunity. She was a member of Tiffin Jaycees, and loved to watch movies, eat out and spend time at The Knights of Columbus. She adored her children, brothers, sisters and grandkids and was a devout Catholic.
Preceding her in death along with her parents is her husband, Chuck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. David Ross officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family 2-8 PM, Monday, February 4, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
