Bernard E. "Barney" Huss, 86, of Fairview Park, OH and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at his home.

On September 14, 1927 in Tiffin, he was born to Arthur J. and Bertha (Bolander) Huss.

Survivors include his sister, Helen Packham of Indianapolis, IN; sister in law, Nancy Huss of Clyde, OH; two brother in laws, Dr. Richard Kappus of Toledo, OH and Charles Roth of Tiffin; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Rita Kappus, Agnes Roth and Pat Hager; 4 brothers, Paul, Bill, John, and Tom Huss.

Barney was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Fairview Park and St. Joseph Catholic Church while growing up in Tiffin. He worked at Fisher Body in Lorain for many years and as a clerk for the U.S. Post office for over 23 years in Fairview Park. He enjoyed playing the piano and getting together with friends to play cards.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 11:30-12:30 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, 419-447-2424. Prayers at the funeral home will begin at 12:30 PM.
