Betty Jane "Jane" Thaxton, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, November 15, 2014 at St. Francis home.

She was born on January 2, 1930, in Tiffin, to Jesse L. and Alma M. (Runion) Mathias. She married Orville Alabaugh Sr., he passed away in 1974 she then remarried Claude Thaxton, and he passed away in 2001.

Survivors include her son, Orville (Debbra) Alabaugh Jr. of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Linda (Doug) Reinhart and Betsy Beckley both of Tiffin; sister, Margaret Cross of Marion; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband's; parents; 3 brothers, Paul, Jerry and Norval "Bub" Mathias; 2 sisters Beatrice "Sis" Biller and Matt Kilen; grandson, Brad Reinhart.

Her memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Toney officiating.
