Betty Jane Kusch Frederick, 96, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Randall Residence of Tiffin.

She was born on January 24, 1925, in Los Angeles, CA, to Zygfred and Frederika (Behm) Kusch.  On October 7, 1945, she married Raymond J. Frederick and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1988.

Survivors include her three sons, Gerry (Ellie) Frederick and James C. (Robin) Frederick, both of Tiffin and John M. (Dee) Frederick of Johnstown, OH; brother, Bruce (Alynda) Kusch of UT; five grandchildren, Chad Frederick, Randy (Whitney) Frederick, Molly (Joe) Bauer, Nic (Rachel) St-Pierre and Jessica St-Pierre; and eight great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald (Ginny) Kusch; and three grandchildren, Emily Armstrong, Kyle Frederick and infant, Daniel Frederick.

Betty was a 1942 graduate of El Recuerdo High School in Huntington Park, CA and met her husband, Raymond, when he was stationed in California while in the Army.  She was a timekeeper at General Electric, then worked at SS. Kresge's and retired in 1987 from K-Mart.  She was known as the candy lady, enjoyed crocheting, traveling with friends, bowling leagues, was a fan of Ohio State basketball and football and was a Cleveland Indians fan.  Betty loved spending time with her family and was extremely proud of her children.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Randall House and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Betty.
