Betty Jane Scherger, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning, January 28, 2015 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on June 19, 1924, in Berwick, Ohio, to Guy E. and Emma E. (Mangen) Parkins. On April 11, 1950, she married Harold A. Scherger.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of Tiffin; and two daughters, Sydney (Tim) Schultz of Tiffin and Amy (Mike) Litten of Avon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and a son-in-law.

Betty was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and Tiffin Glass Club.

Her Memorial Service will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Autumnwood Care Center Chapel with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
