Obituary

Beverly May Huffman, 79, of Tiffin, gained her angel wings and went home on Monday morning, January 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born on May 1, 1937, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Dorsey and Regina (Miller) Matthews. She married Clarence Huffman, Jr. and they had five children.

She is survived by her sons, Steven J. (Kimberly) Huffman, Victor E. (Chunlan Du) Huffman, John A. (Tana Hiser-Huffman) Huffman and Bryan L. Huffman, all of Tiffin; and her daughter, Cynthia K. Fadeley of Benton, Ohio; step children, Mike Hoover, Calvin Hoover and Christine Goodin; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren; siblings, Ray Matthews of Tiffin; Mary Ann Forstner of Sylvania, deceased brothers, Richard Matthews and Lloyd Matthews, deceased sister, Norma McDonald, sister, Alice (Bob) Tuttle of Tiffin; deceased infant sister, Cheryl Matthews, sister, Susan (Bill) Gibson of Tiffin; and sister-in-law, Marlene Matthews of Tiffin; and step siblings, Willard "Woody" (Betty) Snyder, Arney (Linda) Snyder, Donald "Doc" (Gloria) Snyder, Percey (Virginia) Snyder and Barbara Shaffer.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Irene Matthews; husband, Clarence Huffman, Jr.; sister-in-law, Ginny Matthews; grandson, John Huffman, Jr.; and step siblings, Chet Snyder, William "Bill" Snyder, Pauline Dewald, Donna Jean Saxion, Dorothy Hill and Betty Kerr.

Beverly worked at Tiffin Glass House, General Electric, and retired as a press operator from Budd Company in Carey. She was a member of the Tiffin Eagles Auxiliary #402, GEWOTTS, Tiffin Moose #846, the United Grandmother Chapters-Crystal Ball and Card Flight. Bev also enjoyed playing pinochle at the Kiwanis (the AEC group), playing bingo, being outdoors with the sun, the birds and flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 3-6:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Her service will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Kurt Blaufuss officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or to Heartland Hospice.
