Bonnie J. Purnell, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, June 8, 2013 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.


She was born on November 28, 1924, in Indiana County, PA, to Paul and Roxie (Stiver) Sutter.


Survivors include son, Kenneth (Leah) Purnell of Oceanside, CA; daughter, Cheryl (Keith) Mong of Lancaster, PA; daughter-in-law, Cindy Purnell; brother, Donald Sutter; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Purnell; 5 brothers, Alfred Anderson, George, Paul, Henry and Wayne Sutter; 3 sisters, Bessie McHenry, Cathryn States and Esther McHenry.


Bonnie graduated in 1944 from Coventry High School in Portage Lakes, OH and was a member of Tiffin First Church of Nazarene; where she was very active. She worked as a nurse's aide for St. Francis Rehabilitation in Green Springs and was active at Kiwanis Manor where she was crowned queen of the manor. Bonnie was always pleasant and caring for others.


Her memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Autumnwood Care Center Chapel with Pastor Hugh McElroy officiating. Burial was private at Fairmont Cemetery.


Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at Autumnwood Care Center Chapel.
