Brian V. Haley, Sr. 78, of Tiffin, died Sunday morning October 11, 2009, at his residence.

He was born February 10, 1931, in Bradford Yorkshire, England, to Edgar and Margaret (Brennan) Haley. He married Muriel Maria Hall Aug. 18, 1952, in St. Francis Church in Bradford, England.

Survivors include his son Brian (Trish) Haley Jr. of Tiffin; brother, Leonard Haley of Yorkshire, England, and four granddaughters, Ann (Matthew) Hagedorn, Jennifer, Emma, and Laura Haley.

Mr. Haley was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 56 years Muriel, on Dec.13, 2008, brothers Morris, John, and Francis Haley and a sister, Patricia Haley.

Mr. Haley served a seven year apprenticeship as a stained glass craftsman at Lazenby's Glass Company in England, he was also a Glazing supervisor for Bradford Glass for over 20 years. In 1991, he moved to Tiffin with his wife to spend time with his son and daughter-in-law and his four granddaughters. His appreciation for stained glass allowed him to renovate many Northwest Ohio churches over the past 13 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:40 AM at the church.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the church from 9:30-10:40 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools or Community Hospice Care.
