Bruce M. Reiter, 73, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, June 19, 2010 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

On August 13, 1936 in rural Tiffin, he was born to Harold and Angeline (Spino) Reiter. He married Rebecca Buskirk on October 11, 1958 at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca of 51 years; a son, Nick (Deb) Reiter of Gibsonburg; a daughter, Natalie (Dennis) Eberly of Tiffin; 5 grandchildren, Trevor, Peter, and Ian Reiter and Grace and Ann Eberly.

Bruce was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church and a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. He worked as a U.S. Postal Carrier for over 36 years retiring in 1994. He was a Business Agent for the National Association of Letter Carriers while he was active as a letter carrier and also as a reserve Seneca County Sheriff Deputy for 40 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, showing classic cars and attending car shows, gun sports, fishing and attending his grandchildren's activities. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was a member of NARFE.

Per Bruce's request, there will be no visiting hours and private graveside services will be held Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
