Carlos Enrique Martinez-Rubio, 50, of Tiffin and formerly of Chihuahua, Mexico passed away Friday morning, December 24, 2021 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
On May 15, 1971 in Chihuahua, Mexico he was born to Carlos Gerardo Martinez-Aranda and Maria del Socorro Rubio-Rubio. He married Elisa Alicano Gastelum on May 30, 1994 and she survives in Tiffin.
He is survived by his mother, Maria del Socorro Rubio-Rubio of Chihuahua, Mexico; three sons, Ian Carlos Martinez-Alicano, Luis Enrique Martinez-Alicano and Diego Heli Martinez-Alicano all of Tiffin; brothers, Gerardo Ivan Martinez-Rubio (Rosa S. Martinez) of Phoenix, AZ; Elko Adiel Martinez-Rubio of Chihuahua, Mexico and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Carlos moved to Tiffin with his family eight years ago and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He worked for Electrical Components International working as a Quality Control Engineer with Whirlpool Corp. in Clyde. He enjoyed attending his son's sporting events, watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and being at home with his family. He made a lot of good friends while working in Jaurez, Mexico for 18 years and in Tiffin the past eight years. He was a caring son, dedicated husband, loving father, great brother and uncle. Carlos will be missed by many.
His funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. Burial will take place in Mexico. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Mass will be live-streamed on Thursday at stmarychurch.com.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
