Carol A. Bordner, 71, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 18, 2012 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
She was born on December 3, 1940, in Tiffin, Ohio to Howard F. and Dorothy (Elms) Snyder. In 1960, she married Albert Woodard and he preceded her in death. On October 20, 1965, she married Robert Bordner, Sr. and he survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Dorothy; 3 sons, Adam (Melissa) Woodard, of Loganville, GA and Robert (Sheena) Bordner, Jr. and Phillip (Denise Speer) Bordner, both of Fostoria, Ohio; 2 daughters, Catherine L. (Mike Hutchinson) Dyer of New Riegel, Ohio and Christina (Jeff) Kostohryz of Wooster, Ohio; brother, David Faber, of Tiffin; 5 sisters, Barbara Elarton, Linda (John) Spohn and Connie Faber, all of Tiffin; Mary (Claude) Wetherbe of Upper Sandusky and Sandra (Lynn) Burille of Lorain; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her father, Howard; adopted father, Bartlett Faber; first husband, Albert; brother, John Faber and 1 grandson.
Carol was a member of Tiffin First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed long rides, nature, bowling, fishing, needlework and crossword puzzles. She always remembered family birthdays and enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. John Wildman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tiffin First Church of the Nazarene and a charity of the donor's choice.
