Carol Louise Slayton, 78, of Tiffin and formerly of Fremont and Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at her home.

She was born on December 19, 1946, in Fremont, Ohio, to Raymond and Marilyn (Leibold) Koppelman.

Survivors include her son, Ray (Mary) Weible of Mt. Gilead; daughter, Dawn (Jeff) Schaade of Tiffin; brother, Dennis Childs of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol lived in Kentucky, Mansfield, Fremont and recently moved to Tiffin to be close to her daughter.  She retired as a custodian after many years from Fremont City Schools.  Carol enjoyed coloring, Bingo, OSU games and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Dwayne Vanover officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
