Carolyn J. Guttenberg, 56, of rural Bascom, passed away Sunday morning, February 13, 2011 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

On July 19, 1954 in Fostoria, she was born to Leonard and Eileen (Schultz) Brickner. She married Don Guttenberg on October 7, 1971 in St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Don; 2 daughters, Amy (Kevin Benfer) Guttenberg of Attica; Carrie (Shad Adams) Guttenberg of Tiffin; parents, Leonard and Eileen Brickner of rural Bascom; sister, Betty (Dave) Hoover of rural Bascom; mother and father in law, Herman and Margaret Guttenberg of Kingston, TN; and 2 grandchildren, Dylan and Ayden Adams.

Carolyn was a 1972 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School and worked at Kmart in Fostoria for years and most recently at Rite Aid in Tiffin as a supervisor for over 5 years. She enjoyed red roses and cross-stitching.

A graveside service and burial will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Bascom.

A private visitation was held for the family.
