Carolyn M. Houck, 58, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on November 7, 1954 in Tiffin, Ohio to John and Helen (Magers) Bloom. On May 23, 1986, she married Ed "Andy" Houck and he survives.

Also surviving are 3 brothers, Michael Bloom of Murfreesboro, Kenneth (Darlene) Bloom and Edward (Tara) Bloom, both of Tiffin; 6 sisters, Jean (Ron Berry) of Tiffin, Sharon (Ed) McCormack and Loretta Bloom, both of Aiken, SC, Kathleen (Glenn) Platt, twin sister, Geralyn Hammer and Wanda Wenner, all of Tiffin; sisters-in-law, Nelene (Lanny) Keckler and Barb Houck, both of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John; 2 brothers-in-law, Ken Hammer in 2003 and Bill Houck in 2012.

Carolyn graduated in 1975 from Mohawk High School and worked as a home health care aide for many years for area agencies. She was a member of the Eagles in Bellevue and enjoyed cooking, baking and bowling. Carolyn was a thoughtful, caring person and enjoyed comforting others. She was family oriented and her family was very important to her.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Union Cemetery in Old Fort. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 5:45 P.M.
