Catherine "Katy" Shaw, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, June 7, 2023 at The Willows at Tiffin.

Katy was born June 23, 1938 in Seneca County, Ohio to Eugene and Irene (Heimbaugh) Fredritz.  On February 28, 1983, she married John E. Shaw and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2020.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Matthew (Claire) Murphy, Jessie Rowlett, Catherine Murphy, Crystal Strait, Michael (Meghen) Murphy and Jennifer Murphy; and seven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Harold Rowlett; and daughter, Michelle Murphy.

Katy worked at Textron in Fostoria.  After retiring, she then worked at the old Wal-Mart store.  She was a member of Tiffin Eagles #402, Tiffin Moose Loge 846 and AmVets Post 48.  Katy enjoyed shopping, playing Bingo, gambling, camping, traveling to Casino's and loved her dogs and cats, especially her cat, Boots.

Her Funeral Service will be at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
