Catherine S. "Cathy" Runion, 69, of Tiffin and formerly of Clyde, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2019 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

She was born on December 26, 1949, in Fostoria, to Junior and Ann (McClure) Thomas.  She married Robert A. "Bob" Runion on August 18, 1973 and he survives.

Words cannot describe the love she had for her family, especially her three sons, Eric Runion of Tiffin; Lance Runion of Toledo and Damon Runion of Tiffin; her five grandchildren, Mercedes Runion, Devin Runion, Chloe Rettig, Bella Runion and Easton Runion; and her great grandson, Keenan; and her sister, Linda (Dave) Davis of Clyde.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cathy was born in Fostoria and as a child, her family moved to Clyde where she graduated from Clyde High School in 1967 and after her marriage to Bob, she moved to Tiffin and raised her family.  Cathy enjoyed gardening, crafts, garage sales, car shows with her husband and holiday gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved taking care of her family.  Her sincere compassion and caring nature will be missed by everyone.

A private family service and burial will take place.
