Charla A. Van Osdol, 61, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, July 29, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center.

She was born January 24, 1960, in Tiffin, to Charles J. and Beverly A. (Decker) Burkart. On January 28, 2011, she married Robert "Bob" Van Osdol.

Survivors include her husband, Bob of Tiffin; sons, Nathan (Alyssa) Moore of Oakton, VA, and Jamie (Beth) Moore of Carmel, IN; daughter, Erin (George) Morgan of Bascom; step-daughter, Stephanie Jones of Findlay; brothers, Michael (Donna) Burkart and Daniel (Mary) Burkart both of Tiffin; 18 grandchildren, Kennedy and Rowan Moore, Leo, Nora, and Julian Moore, Avery, Adelyn, Sidney, Lydia, Emylia, George, Ainsley, Jack, and Isla Morgan, Jevon Robertson, Bryson, Jayonna  and Braylon Jones.

In 1978, she graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and later in life continued her education at Terra Tech and the University of Findlay.  She was very passionate about her career as a Prevention specialist. She has worked tirelessly with the citizens of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot county for over two decades through Firelands Hospital, 181 House, Wyandot Counseling, Seneca East Guidance Department, and as The C.A.R.S.A Coalition Coordinator and most recently consulting through her business, Prevention Connection.

Charla had grown in her faith over the last 5 years and was a member of Grace Community Church-Tiffin. She volunteered in the children's ministries there.  Her faith was very important to her and she often encouraged others in their walk with God.

Charla enjoyed cooking for her family, decorating and keeping a beautiful home. When she wasn't working or with her grandchildren she  liked day tripping to the Amish country and shopping with Bob.  A lover of animals, any cat could always find a home with her. What she delighted in most of all was being a Nana. She loved to play bingo with the grandkids, have her annual "Nana's Extravaganza", host sleepovers with the cousins at holidays, watch them in their activities and spoil them rotten.

Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Grace Community Church, with Pastor Zach Pinkerton officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
