Charles "Dedi" Richard Jackson, 92, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, December 19, 2011 at his home.
He was born on July 12, 1919 in Paulding, Ohio to Charles Robert and Amelia (Green) Jackson. In 1946, he married Betty Cousin and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; son, Richard Eugene (Kimberly) Jackson of Tiffin, Ohio; three daughters, Antoinette (Robert) Heath of Florida, Claudette (Paul) Smith of Michigan and Sarah (Glynn) Joseph of Tiffin, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Pearly Jackson; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Lynnwood Jackson on December 8, 2007; brothers, Virgil, Jack, Joe, Roy, William, Raymond and Murl; and sisters, Muzetta, Helen and Evelyn.
Charles was a veteran of WWII and above all he became a devoted Jehovah's Witness; he enjoyed sharing the good news of God's Kingdom, with people of interest. He was affectionately known as "Dedi" to all.
He will be cremated and his memorial service will be Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., with Paul Smith officiating, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiffin Congregation of Jehovah's Witness' or Community Hospice Care.
