Charles D. Love, 59, of Republic, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home.

On June 12, 1962 in Fort Knox, KY; he was born to Ray and Naomi (Sims) Love.  He met the love of his life, Sue Cornett at the Moose Lodge in Kentucky and married her on July 28, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Cornett Love of Republic; sons, David (Lori) Hollin of London, KY and Dylan Cornett of Republic; brothers, Ricky (Debbie) Gipson and Jimmy (Anita) Gipson both of Junction City, KY and Dennis Reddington of Harrodsburg, KY; sister, Theresa (Earl) Trent of Junction City, KY; four grandchildren, Ava, Lincoln, Malachi and Ruby; and his favorite dog, Gidget.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Ray; his biological mom Naomi who died when he was four; his second mom, Carleen Love who raised him; and an infant sister.

Charlie was a graduate of Lincoln County High School in Kentucky and worked at Laminate Technologies for 15 years.  He was talented at playing guitar, singing, playing music in bands and Karaoke.  Charlie enjoyed fishing, camping, watching wrestling and trips back home.  He loved spoiling his grandchildren and was the biggest Beatles Fan.  In 2019, he finally saw Paul McCartney in concert.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 10-12 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.  A Graveside service will begin at 12:30 PM at Rock Creek Cemetery with Rev. Paul Tyree officiating.omeHome
