Charles E. "Red" Scholl Jr., 75, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at his home.

On January 8, 1934 he was born to Charles E. and Helen (Wagner) Scholl Sr. On May 1, 1954 he married Dorothy Wetzel in St. Boniface Church in New Riegel. They were married until 1981.

Survivors include his children, Mark E. Scholl of Los Angeles, CA., Philip L. Scholl of Van Nuys, CA., Matthew J. (Susan) Scholl, David A. Scholl, Andrew S. Scholl all of Tiffin, Patrick C. Scholl of Billings, MT., Michael K. Scholl, and Rebecca M. (Anthony) Foster of Tiffin, a brother, Bernard Scholl, sisters Mary (Fritz) Smith, Ruth (Dick) Huffmon, all of Tiffin, and Carol (Mike) Szyperski of Waterville, grandchildren, Andrea Quintero, Ali Scholl,Stephanie Scholl and his first wife, Dorothy (Joe) Schock of Tiffin.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

Charles was 1952 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School and he was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He worked for General Electric as a machinist for 32 years, retiring in 1985. Red enjoyed spending time in Florida with his daughter Rebecca and her husband, Anthony, and Rebecca's mom, Marge Schalk, his friend and his companion. He loved the ocean and was a good friend to Jose and Lucy Santiago. He was an avid baseball fan and he will be remembered for his quick wit and his attention to detail.

A Mass will be 10AM, Friday, May 15, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 4-8PM, Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, Salvation Army, St. Mary Catholic Church, or to the donor's choice.
