Charles Richard “Chuck” Szablewski, 74, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Autumnwood Care Center.

He was born on April 22, 1952, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Edmund C. and Dolores (Seifert) Szablewski. On May 28, 1977, he married Denise Barger.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Szablewski of Tiffin; son, Thomas Charles (Erin) Szablewski of Willard; daughters, Rita (Jason) Brown of Tiffin, Rachel (Aaron) Taylor of Port Clinton and Renee (Dusty) Webster of South Charleston, Ohio; brother, Walter Szablewski; sisters, Jane Weber, Josephine Maples, Mary Poggemeyer, Judy (Rob) Everhart, Margie (Bruce) Waters and Catherine (Mike) Wilhelm; 12 grandchildren; and 4 step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Szablewski; and sister, Rita Szablewski.

Chuck graduated in 1970 from Calvert High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He worked at American Standard for many years. Chuck was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and just sitting outside. He was an avid woodworker, carving many Christmas ornaments for family and friends, was a member of the Isaac Walton and loved hanging out with the Wednesday morning breakfast club at GW’s.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
