Obituary

Charles Melen "Charlie" Warren, 73, of Melmore, passed away on Friday morning, September 23, 2016 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on June 18, 1943, in Springfield, Ohio to Clarence and Ruth (Fryant) Warren. On June 10, 1972, he married Linda Lamma.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Melmore; son, Charlie "Butch" (Brenda Hutton) Warren of Findlay; daughter, Julie (Todd) Fadley of Springfield; brother, Theo (Crystal) Warren of Tiffin; sister, Debra (Henry) Wagner of Tiffin; and three grandchildren, George, Samantha and Lily.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Zenana Holsinger Warren; son, David Owen Warren in 2006; and sister, Charlene Harmount.

Charlie served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963 and worked at Quincy Door, Tiffin Art Metal, Basic Refractories, American Standard, Schultz Motors, NAPA Auto Parts and later retired from New Haven Supply. He was a member of Melmore United Methodist Church, the Sycamore Lions Club #5242 and was an honorary member of the Mohawk Lionesses and loved watching football games. Charlie was very positive, always smiling and telling stories and loved spending time with his family especially children and grandchildren.

His Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Jane-Ann Clarke officiating. The United Veterans Council will also do a service at the funeral home.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Melmore United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
