Chloe Sophia Fertig, 95, of Tiffin, passed away early Monday morning, January 28, 2013 at her home.

She was born on September 27, 1917 in Tiffin, OH to Coral and Anna (Ritzenthaler) Banks. She married Ivo W. Dewald on September 27, 1938 and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1973. She then married Ralph S. Fertig on December 31, 1982 in Tiffin and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2009.

Survivors include 2 Nieces, Beatrice (John) Bowling of Tomah, WI; Yvonne "Bonnie Rose" Cook of Sycamore; great niece Rhonda (Mark) Hendricks of Tiffin; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Chloe was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Voris, Clyde, Coral, and Warren Banks; Sister Leota Banks.

Chloe was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, worked at Tiffin Glass House and cleaned area homes, including Hoffman Memorial Funeral Home for many years. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, loved to collect Butterflies, spending time with friends and family, and enjoyed a good conversation.

Her funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday January 30, 2013 and from 11-12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the funeral home.
