Christopher Anthony Gaietto 58 of rural Tiffin died suddenly at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital Friday October 18, 2013.

He was born July 8, 1955 to Michael D. Gaietto and Maria V. (Tapparo) Gaietto. They both preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Doreen (Calvert) Gaietto. They were married July 21, 1978 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin.

Also surviving are his 3 daughters, Rita and her husband Chad, who Chris thought of as a son Gaietto-Overmier of Tiffin, Jennifer Gaietto of Columbus, and Jessica and her husband Joseph Kizer of Perrysburg; his 3 grandchildren Kailyn Reeder and Garett Kizer of Perrysburg and LJ (Lawrence Jason) Smith of Marysville; his siblings Patrica (Robert) Stiverson of Tiffin, Marilyn (Stephen) Werling of San Antonio, Texas and James (Vickie) Gaietto of Tiffin and several nieces and nephews.

Chris and his brother, Jim co-owned and operated C&J Games and Music, Inc. for over 27 years. They were also partners in The Lounge and Gallery of Games at the Tiffin Mall for several years. Currently they were partners in Gator Services, Inc.

Chris loved his family so much. He loved spending time with them and having the grandkids over for several days at a time. The grandchildren loved spending time with their grandpa (Peepaw). He loved family get togethers, having cookouts and campfires in the backyard. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made people laugh with his stories, especially the ones about his mishaps with animals. Chris loved to travel and take mini vacations. He loved riding his motorcycle with Doreen. He was an avid Steelers fan. Chris touched a lot of lives. He had a kind and generous heart. We all have so many wonderful and funny memories of him. Chris was so very loved and we all will miss him very much.

Visitation for Chris will be from 3 to 8 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin this Wednesday, October 23, 2013.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin at 10:30 am Thursday, October 24, 2013 with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
