Clara Jean Kennedy, 63, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2010 at her home.

On February 16, 1947, in Tiffin, she was born to Arthur J. and Mary C. (Davidson) Welly. She married Larry Kennedy on July 22, 1967, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Larry of 43 years, mother and father, Arthur and Mary Welly of Tiffin; daughter, Anna Salerno of Solon, OH; sons, David Kennedy and Matthew (Michele) Kennedy both of Tiffin; brothers, Jim (Robin) Welly of Findlay; Tim (Beth) Welly of Tiffin; sisters, Catherine (Larry) Kelbley of Bascom; Becky (Don) Gosche of Tiffin; Mary Jo (Kevin) Kurtz of Wharton; 6 grandchildren, Kayla, Megan, Caesar, Bryan, Connor and Alana.

Clara was a 1965 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School, earned her Associates degree from Terra Tech and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked for Attorney Arthur F. Graham, for 20 years as a legal secretary, retiring in 2003 and enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping, spending winters in Palm Springs, CA, and received her purple belt in Shotokan Karate. Clara was a member of the Corvette Club and enjoyed traveling with them.

Her memorial Mass is 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 25, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may enjoy a luncheon with the family following burial in the cafeteria at St. Joseph Catholic School.
