Clement "Clem" Frank Decker, Jr., 87, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, September 24, 2016 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

On November 25, 1928 in Tiffin, OH he was born to Clement F. and Clara M. (Gabringer) Decker. He married Alice E. Bishop December 31, 1955 in St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington.

Survivors include a son; Christopher Decker of Republic; three daughters, Paula Chanay of Toledo; Karen (Scott) Wilkerson of Oscoda, MI; Mary DeLoach of Monroe, MI; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Rachael, Abigail, Grant, Alexandra and Claire, three great grandchildren, and a brother, Fred Decker of Tiffin, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice on February 7, 2004 and a sister, Rose Mary Ballreich.

Clem was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 1946 graduate of Tiffin Calvert and a 1950 graduate of Heidelberg College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952, stationed in Berlin during the Korean War. In 1952, along with his father and brother, they started Decker's Furniture in Attica and in 1956, opening a store in Tiffin and later in Findlay. Clem was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Seneca County Farm Bureau, American Legion Post # 260 in Attica, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 4112 in Attica and volunteered at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors by the Attica American Legion. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Friends may visit on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH from 4-8 PM. A Wake service will begin at 3:30 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
