Cora L. Reinhart, 96, 0f rural Bascom, passed away Monday evening, February 14, 2011 at her home surrounded by family.
On January 31, 1915 in Seneca County, she was born to Andrew and Theresa (Brickner) Scherger. She married Vincent J. Reinhart on November 23, 1939 in St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include 4 sons, Roger C. (Jane) Reinhart, Merle A. (Erma) Reinhart, David A. (Kathleen) Reinhart, Thomas E. (Kathy) Reinhart all of rural Bascom; daughter in law, Pauline Reinhart of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vincent of 39 years in 1978, son, Paul V. Reinhart in 2004; brother, Herbert and infant brother, Robert; sisters, Stella Schultz, Elnora Werling, Leoda Glick, and Viola Hoover.
Cora was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She farmed with her husband and continuing farming for many years after his death. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Cora volunteered for years at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria and loved her many pets around the farm.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bascom with Rev. Art Niewiadomski officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to mass.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care or to Rev. Robert Depinet.
