Craig M. Scalf, 55, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, October 21, 2013 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Hancock County.

He was born on September 12, 1958, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Melvin S. and Hazel A. (Digby) Scalf. On July 1, 1989, he married Diana K. Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Diana; 2 step-daughters, Kelli (Steve) Luidhardt and Beth (Damon) Copley, both of Tiffin; 3 brothers, Mark (Margaret) Scalf of Bowling Green, Kevin (Nancy) Scalf of Delphos and Tim (Cheryl) Scalf of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren, Kaleb Luidhardt, Brandon, Halie and Hannah Copley, all of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Scalf and infant sister, Mia Michelle Scalf.

Craig graduated in 1978 from Tiffin Columbian High School and was a member of First Christian Church. He worked at Findlay Machine and Tool for over 20 years and enjoyed his work and everyone he worked with. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, the outdoors, cooking and going to flea markets and his grandchildren's sporting events. Craig enjoyed helping everyone and made many friends at Kiwanis Manor while his mother and grandmother lived there. Dusty and Bandit, his dogs and Mickey, his bird, were his best friends and he loved his family; especially his grandchildren.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the funeral home.
