Obituary

Cynthia L. "Cindy" Carter-Koch, 70, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on October 29, 1949, in Tiffin, Ohio, to James and Rose Ann (Bour) Carter.  On November 5, 1992, she married Walter Koch.

Survivors include her mother, Rose Ann Carter of Tiffin; husband, Walter Koch of Tiffin; ; son, Chad (Jessica) Everhart of Tiffin; daughter, Tara (Ray) Sowa of Greenville, MI; step son, Michael (Jillian) Koch of Lewis Center; step daughter, Laura (Ray) Doehring of Hilliard; brother, Jeffrey Carter of Tiffin; sisters, Vicky Spade Bravo of Atlanta, GA, Mary Rose Smith of Washington Court House and Joline Gongwer of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Carter; and sister, Karen Ann Hill.

Cindy graduated in 1968 from Tiffin Calvert High School and from Georgianne Cosmetology School.  She worked at and later owned Lori's Beauty Shop, was a hairdresser at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and also had worked at G & L Oil.   Cindy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed vacationing, going on cruises, reading, riding her motorcycle and spending time around her pool.

Her Services will be private and burial will be in Farewell Retreat Cemetery, Republic.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
