Daniel W. "Danny" Birch, 75, of Green Springs and formerly of Tiffin and Mansfield, passed away Monday evening, June 10, 2013 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on September 24, 1937, in Tiffin, Ohio to Richard and Florine L. (Ranker) Birch. He married Elizabeth Immele and they later divorced.

Survivors include his sister, Catherine Tyree of Perrysburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Stephen J. Birch, Sr. in 2010.

Danny was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and worked at Excell Wire & Cable in Tiffin for many years. He enjoyed war history, fishing, playing BINGO and most of all model trains. Danny loved animals; especially his German Shepherd, Clyde.

His Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Roemmele officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elmwood Nursing Home for Activities, 430 N. Broadway Street, Green Springs, Ohio 44836 or Community Hospice Care.
