Daniel K. Way, 72, of Tiffin, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 18, 2026, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Survivors include son, Aaron (Alex Martin) Way; stepdaughter, Kristie (Eric) Hall; brother, Bruce (Jackie) Way; sister, Melinda (Curtis) Webb; and special friend, Connie Way, whose unwavering care, patience, and presence went above and beyond during his final years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Born May 5, 1954, in Ravenna, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Lee (Parmenter) Way. Dan graduated from Mohawk High School in 1972 and went on to become the longtime owner and operator of Tiffin Glass & Mirror. Beyond his profession, Dan possessed a true artisan’s touch and was renowned for his intricate, beautiful stained-glass creations.

Known for his dry, witty sense of humor, Dan embraced a relaxed lifestyle whenever he could. He was happiest sitting on his back deck with Jimmy Buffett playing, tuning in faithfully to Jeopardy!, or unwinding with classic black-and-white movies. An avid Cleveland Browns fan, Dan also shared a lifelong love for Key West, Florida—a favorite destination where he proudly checked off a bucket-list thrill: soaring high over the Florida Keys in a stunt biplane.

There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
